As you enter the semi-circular foyer ,a floating staircase rises in front of a lovely bank of curved electromagnetic windows. One can control the  sunshine entering the foyer by  a dimmer switch.  Sage glass  electrochromatic windows have only been available for the last few years. The  windows are amazingly more energy efficient than standard windows.

The  stairs are fabricated completely from FSC Jatuba Brazilian Cherry from PALS (Earth Source First)     The rich "Satin Paris"-walnut flooring is FSC and has been used throughout the home for a warm and beautiful look, uniquely patterned with Capucino Italian marble in the foyer,living room,family room and kitchen.

Foam insulation,by Spray Foam Energy Solutions,saves 50% to 60% in energy costs.  The spray-foam insulation is  non-allergenic,  non- OZone depleting, non-toxic, non-off-gassing.. The material does not support mold or mildew,nor gaps in the building which result in air loss, thus loss of heat. Most importantly, it is not a known carcinogen, unlike fiberglass insulation. The material is manufactured by Spray Energy Solutions.(sprayfoam.biz) Full spray-in insulation throughout all interior and exterior walls.

Many other green features are used. The FCS hardwood floors are green.  On Demand water heaters are on both sides of the home.Low E aluminum-clad windows are used for added sun protection. The HVAC system is high efficiency.

"SmartHome" Colorado V-NET system. Home efficiency in programming electronics. The smart home program controls not only the home's security and heating system, but the lights and  the music system as well.  Convenient touch screen control panels, which are programmable , eliminate the need for separate switches throughout the home.  Most  systems in the house can be turned off from one room or with a clap of the hands, saving energy. The home system can even be programmed into a vacation mode. The Vnet automaton is used to monitor the solar system,security,HVAC and interior environments.
